Mercy’s First Birthday and an Update!

Hey Everyone!

Update first: Things are going really, really well with Mercy. She's crawling, she’s beginning to eat solids, she’s happy, she’s loving life with all her brothers, she's keeping up with the energy in our home, she’s gaining enough weight, it’s just going well.

We now have a nutritionist and feeding therapist. They’ve managed to eliminate Mercy’s vomiting and have set the stage for her to try solid foods. We’re beyond thankful for that team and for the progress Mercy has made.

Erica is still pumping every few hours, and we’re still doing shift work at night, so not everything is roses. But life feels as close to normal as possible. And we’re off the roller-coaster. Praise God!

Mercy’s Birthday Party!!

Mercy turns 1 next month, so we’re going to throw an open-house birthday party in the afternoon between 1-4 pm on Saturday, September 7th for any and all who want to come to our neck of the woods and celebrate this little miracle! Stay for 15 minutes or three hours, we’ll have cake, a tiny, mighty little girl, and grateful parents who’d love to rejoice and celebrate and toast with you all.

This is probably my last post, I hope. If we had to be on this roller coaster, I’m beyond thankful for all of you who went on it with us. I see Mercy every morning at 6 am, and every single morning I’m reminded of God’s love for us and of His tender mercies which are new every morning.
