I just got this from Erica, who's in the hospital with Mercy(!!!):
Praise the Lord!!!!!!!!
Surgery went better than we could have hoped!!
Her surgeon was able to remove the hemangioma and close the area with a linear closure and NO SKIN GRAFT!!!!!!!
The actual surgery was done in less than an hour, and they were able to extubate her in the OR which is amazing. Keeping the tube in for several days after her last surgery was utter misery for her. We are so thankful this time she doesn’t need it!!
Mercy was back up in her room with me in record time. We’re praying for speedy healing, and that her pain will be under control with minimal drugs.
For now, she is on high flow nasal cannula on a pretty low setting to see her through the first few hours of post op meds that tend to suppress respiratory function. The hope is she won’t need it past today, and that she can start eating again at half her usual volume later today as well. We will see. She calls the shots with how things progress. For now we are watching her closely for heart rate and saturation dips, and staying on top of pain control.
Man….it is amazing to have good news.
Keep it coming, Lord!!!

Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus. 1Thess.5:16-18
Hugs for everyone!
This is such awesome news!!! Praise God for answered prayers! Praying for a quick recovery. ❤️👍🎉🙏🥳☀️🌷
