Help, Lord

It’s 3 am. To see if Mercy needs emergency exploratory surgery, she’s getting a round of labs and imaging every three hours. They completed the latest round just now. Her intestines are still extremely dilated but her numbers are good enough that, “…any operation can wait until the light of day.”
What a difference a day makes. This morning we thought Mercy was coming home soon.
We’re waiting. We’re waiting for the light of day to bring us good news. The doctors say these next 12-24 hours will be critical. We’re praying, asking, begging God to heal her in the morning. To give her peace. To heal our Mercy.
Because of God’s tender mercy, the morning light from heaven is about to break upon us, to give light to those who sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, and to guide us to the path of peace.
- Luke 2:78-79

Praying for her and you today
I’m so sorry. I hope it’s something quickly fixable. I know how much you want her home with her family. I am praying for you.
