We’re still trying to figure out why Mercy is retaining air. Her test on Friday didn’t reveal any obvious reasons for slow bowel movement. Her belly swelled up a few centimeters as soon as they attempted to feed her again, so they cut out feedings and re-inserted intermittent suction.

She tested positive for a staph infection on Friday but seems to be responding well to the antibiotics. She’ll be on them for a few more days.

- That we figure out a way to relieve the air in her bowels

- Quick healing from the staph infection
