PICC in, tube out, transfusing now

Yesterday was mostly a success. PICC is now in - praise God! She had to be intubated and the tube stayed in longer than we had hoped, but as of 11:30 last night Mercy was back on hi-flow cannula.

This morning around 5am the docs called me to let me know Mercy needed a transfusion. The call was not unexpected: Erica and I noticed Mercy was pale on Thursday, and she was even more pale yesterday. Still, she had her last transfusion less than a week ago, and her need for supplemental blood is trending in the wrong direction.
