Quick update

Today is my day with Mercy. I love these days. Makes me long for the day when she’s with us all the time.

She had a good weekend. Her feeding volume increased by about 25% on both Saturday and Sunday. During the day she handled the increase well. Sunday night was more difficult for her, so docs held her feedings steady today - no increase.

Mercy is starting to transition from receiving all of her nutrition from her central line to instead relying on feedings for some of her nutrition needs. They didn’t decrease the central line by much, but it’s an encouraging first step along the (long) road to removing her central line.

There are a couple of worrisome issues. Her hemangioma is still really large, bloody, and painful. The beta blocker that is starting to help reduce the hemangioma may now be negatively affecting her heart. Her broken right arm still seems tender, and she’s not using her right hand very much. Much to pray for.
