Today is Mercy‘s due date. As of right now, there’s no expectation that she’ll be home anytime soon. Doctors are re-looking at several possibilities that we had previously ruled out since we have no idea what’s causing her gastrointestinal issues.
Exploratory surgery is back on the table, CF again a possibility, Hirschsprung’s disease is not ruled out yet, biopsies in her future….it’s a lot. Very thankful for the doctors and nurses at Lurie Children’s. We’re also very thankful for places like the Ronald McDonald house so one of us can stay close to Mercy as she undergoes testing and PICC replacement (this one's complete) this week.

continuing to pray. "Its a lot" indeed. what a long difficult journey for you guys, Our hearts hurt for you and we long with you for the day that she can come home. BTW we love this sweet picture and both of us thought she looks like Josh in this picture.
