UPDATE: 8:15 Surgery tomorrow

Mercy is scheduled for surgery tomorrow morning to fix her intestinal blockage, ow scheduled for 8:15 CST. If you'd like to pray with our Grace church family, they'll be praying for her at 12 via Zoom (send an email to katherine@gracenorthshore.org for the link).

Pray that the surgery is simple and that the blockage is on the outside of the intestine. This would allow the surgeon to fix the issue without having to cut into the intestine. Pray that the surgery remains laparoscopic, and that it doesn't require a stoma. And please pray for quick healing as well.

Mercy is doing well at Park Ridge. She's gained weight, seems to be satting well, and she'll get to see her brothers on Wednesday, Lord willing. We miss our folks in Evanston but we're hopeful that this surgery gets Mercy out of the current "feed - de-sat - stop feeds/insert suction - wait 5 days - try feeds again - de-sat..." cycle that she's been on for three weeks now.

Erica and I are also doing well. I have a longer post about one really cool answer to our prayers that I hope to post tonight. God is at work, and we're trusting Him with our little baby girl. Thanks for praying, friends.
